Silver Strength is a youth-led initiative funded by the National Youth Council, dedicated to empowering seniors in Singapore through strength, functionality, and community connection.

 

Mission: To help seniors age with confidence and encourage kindness among youths, while building meaningful inter-generational bonds.

As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in:

• Coaching seniors in safe, structured fitness classes focused on strength, balance, and mobility.

• Bridging generations by fostering friendships that combat loneliness and create a supportive community.

• Delivering real impact through evidence-based training programs, fun activities, and measurable improvements in seniors’ health and well-being.

We are partnering with Active Ageing Centres (AACs) across Singapore to run 13-week programs. Each class includes simple, functional exercises using portable equipment like adjustable dumbbells, resistance bands, and medicine balls. On top of workouts, we run friendly games, contests, and bonding activities to keep sessions fresh and engaging.
